Masterclasses: Demi's tap class will push your tap technique, musicality, and full performance abilities. She wants you to laugh as much as you sweat! Class will be sure to warm up all the major muscle groups, work through a challenging exercise and tackle a combination. Demi strives to meet each student at the level they’re at with personal attention and individualized critiques. She prioritizes cultivating a light hearted class environment where students work hard and support tap dancers of all styles and interests.
Bio: Demi Remick is a NYC-based tap dancer, choreographer and burlesque artist who performs and teaches internationally. Demi has toured worldwide as the tap dance soloist with Postmodern Jukebox, has danced with Dorrance Dance, Caleb Teicher & Co, Jason Samuels Smith, Bill T. Jones, and alongside the American Ballet Theatre and NYCB dancers. She has performed in Quixotic Fusion’s Sensatia Cabaret, Company XIV, and for Susanne Bartsch. She has performed at venues such as The Sydney Opera House, NY City Center, The London Palladium, Radio City Music Hall, The Kennedy Center, and The Hollywood Bowl to name a few. She was Dance Magazine‘s Top-25-To-Watch in 2014, a YoungArts Gold winner, and is currently an Artist in Residence at The American Tap Dance Foundation. Demi has taught all levels of tap dance internationally and earned her BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance.
