It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce the second annual Melbourne International Tap Festival, to be held this October 12-17 2006 in Melbourne, Australia.

Following the outstanding success of last year's landmark event, we are pleased to have already confirmed Jason Samuels Smith (US) and Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards (US) as headline artists in 2006, and are in the process now of securing a number of leading local artists to complete an impressive line-up.

In 2005, the Melbourne International Tap Festival was the first of its kind ever to be held in the Asia-Pacific region. Drawing inspiration from tap festivals all over the world, and with the outstanding support of the International Tap Association, the Melbourne International Tap Festival fulfilled its promise, making an historic impact on tap in our part of the world.

Annual Los Angeles Tap Festival produced by Debbie Allen and directed by Jason Samuels Smith and Chloe Arnold. Features a full week of special events, master classes, performances, and special guests!

Vancouver Tap Dance Society is the leading promoter of tap dance in British Columbia, dedicated to promoting and developing awareness of this art form.

The  Vancouver Tap Dance Society was formed as a non-profit organization in 1995 by Lana Caputi and Sandra Selfjord, to create an opportunity for all age groups and skill levels to learn tap and to share in the founders’ passion for tap dancing.

West Coast Tap was founded in March 2003 to serve the needs of professional tap dancers, instructors, choreographers and, most of all, anyone with a passion for tap dance.
