RHYTHM WORLD is the oldest and most comprehensive festival of American tap and contemporary percussive arts in the world. RHYTHM WORLD features an extraordinary master faculty of 24 teachers and two weeks of performance, education and community outreach programs including free public performances at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park,  tap jams at the Chicago Cultural Center’s Claudia Cassidy Theater, student showcases, panel discussions and extraordinary faculty concerts at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.

  Program Offerings
  The most intensive study available at Rhythm World.  Spend 10 hours with up to four amazing teachers.
Courses   
Spend six hours over four days with the teachers of your choice.
KIDS Program
  Rhythm World's new and improved Kids Program is designed to take young tappers to the next level. Designed for 9-12yrold intermediate students.
After Work Adult Courses
  Master faculty working exclusively with adults, at a 6pm start time convenient for most working professionals.
Workshops   One time classes, 3 hours in length.
Master Classes
  A rhythm buffet.  1 hour 20 minute classes with over 15 different master teachers.
YTEC & PrepTEC
  A unique and comprehensive program designed to help Youth Tap Ensembles expand their repertoire while working with masters, interacting with peers and performing.
ProTEC
Conference for young adult professional tappers (25 - 45*) who want to work with their professional peers from around the world.
UTEC
  University Tap Ensemble Conference for college and university students/faculty who want to study with their peers and develop a global college network devoted to gaining recognition for American tap in undergraduate dance/music departments.
 ATEC
Adult Tap Ensemble Conference for "mature" dancers (50 - 65*) who are serious about their dancing but need specific technique and repertory to meet their specific needs

The curriculum of this program willcover: oral and video histories; rudiments of tap including technique, timing, syncopated rhythms, and improvisational skills; and the development of each dancer's individual style and expressive ability.

CHRP's annual Youth Tap Ensemble Conference (YTEC), now in its 9th year, is one of the most comprehensive programs available to tap ensembles. Students work with masters on technique and improvisation, meet with specialists regarding related disciplines, and share and learn choreography.  The 2nd annual PrepTEC offers the same amazing opportunities for study to intermediate-level tappers.
Only 5 individuals per ensemble can register per group.  Registration fee includes a festival t-shirt.
