Institute for the Rhythmic Arts (IFTRA)

American Rhythm Center

IFTRA offers a first of its kind experience for emerging young professionals - a three week intensive integrating foot, hand, and body percussion led by STOMP alumni, tap dancer extraordinaire, and master percussionists Nicholas Young, Michelle Dorrance and John Angeles - with additional guest artists throughout the three week program.  Ages 16 - 24, Adv/Pro.

Rhythm World 2015

Every Summer

July 6-August 2

 is America's longest running and most comprehensive festival of American tap and contemporary percussive arts. Rhythm World hosts an opening night concert at Chicago's historic Jazz Showcase, three
concerts at the Museum of Contemporary Art/Chicago, tap jams, student showcases and a vast array of masterclasses, workshops, courses, and residencies with world-renowned performers and teachers.
