RHYTHM WORLD is the oldest and most comprehensive festival of American tap and contemporary percussive arts in the world. RHYTHM WORLD features an extraordinary master faculty of 24 teachers and two weeks of performance, education and community outreach programs including free public performances, tap jams, student showcases, panel discussions and extraordinary faculty concerts at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago.

CHRP's annual Youth Tap Ensemble Conference (YTEC), now in its 10th year, is one of the most comprehensive programs available to tap ensembles. Students work with masters on technique and improvisation, meet with specialists regarding related disciplines, and share and learn choreography. The 3rd annual PrepTEC offers the same amazing opportunities for study to intermediate-level tappers.
Only 5 individuals per ensemble can register per group. Registration fee includes a festival t-shirt.

CHRP has partnered with The University Center
to provide access to their well-maintained and reasonably-priced
facilities during our festival! The University Center is located just
two blocks from the Fine Arts Building in the heart of downtown Chicago.
University Center Semi Suites
Semi
Suites consist of two bedrooms with two beds each sharing a
semi-private bath. Bedrooms include extra-long twin bed, desk with
chair, bookshelves and closet with organizer for each guest. Microwaves
and Refrigerator units can be rented for an additional charge of
$50.00. Standard linen service is provided with these room rates. Linen
service includes weekly linen and cleaning service. Bedrooms include
sheets, towels, internet access and alarm clock. Guests will have
access to the building’s recreation area, fitness center, outdoor
terrace, dining center, floor kitchens, and laundry facilities. In
addition, all guests receive one complimentary meal per day in the
center's dining hall.
Important
Note: All students under 18 must have a chaperone in order to stay at
the University Center. A chaperone can oversee up to 15 students as
part of this policy.
