Bruno Buarque


Bruno Buarque is a Brazilian musician based in São Paulo. His works as a professional drummer, percussionist and body percussionist have led him to play with many great artists such as Lenine, Seu Jorge, Bobby McFerrin, CéU, Yusa, Naná Vasconcelos, DJ Vadim, Chico César and many others. Playing with the group Barbatuques since the year 2000, he has produced the group’s second album, along with André Hosoi and Fernando Barba.

Bruno is always reinventing himself and his set-ups, whether playing with drums, his body or whatever he finds around, including samplers and electronic instruments. His works as a musician and a teacher have led him to different parts of the globe such as France, Holland, Spain, Colombia, USA, Canada and England. Other works include playing in soundtracks of movies as Love in the Time of Cholera, The Perfect Stranger, City of Men, and also producing bands and soundtracks in his studio minduca.
